From what I understand, you were trying to pass Killboy on the Dragon, on a blind curve. If it had been anyone else, i.e. someone who doesn't know that road like the back of his hand, you would have caused a very serious or fatal accident.
Do us all a favor next year....don't come back :mad::mad: Your complete disregard of safety and common sense endangers yourself and any other drivers on the Dragon.

word up: NO PASSING ON THE DRAGON UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad5::mad5::mad5::

    Not cool,

I had my daughter with me this time. It was her first time out and she was pretty nervous about the heights on the way up so I was driving to keep her happy. I was also in a new MINI that I've only had for 3+ weeks so am getting used to a whole new feel. On Saturday it was very crowded and there were quite a few cops along the way so it was a pretty mellow drive all the way around. I really enjoyed it, just cruising along in the sunshine enjoying the time with my daughter.

We really need to be careful, there are a lot of cars and bikes on the roads there when it's a nice weekend day. The area is not a private race track where we can drive outside our skill set and above the law.

    Don't cross the yellow lines.

    Don't be "That Person"

If you have a beer on Saturday evening do not drive the Midnight Drive.

There was a lot of stupid driving over the weekend including multiple complaints about speeding in Fontana Village. We all need to keep it in check somewhat or we will not be welcome in the region.

There are plans to offer more education on how to drive the roads in the area for next year.

Is it too much to make the newbie run and/or video watching mandatory?

This was the largest MOTD thus far, with over 500 MINIs and 800+ people. Even if you assumed everyone from last year came back, that's still a large percentage of folks that are new to the Dragon. I can't believe all of them did a driver's orientation.

And unfortunately, you get folks in every group - even MINIs - that just don't give a crap :frown2:

Here is the car that would have hit Darryl head on had he not taken evasive action. She was passing another MINI in a blind curve. (NOBODY passes Killboy!)

I believe she has been around awhile; at least the car is familiar. I don't see how anyone could get there without hearing "don't cross the yellow". Guess you can't preach to stupid.
