Well that was a fun trip...got back last friday...with all the side trips and so on i put about 4k miles on her but was worth it...

i can safely say my paceman is the first on top of Pikes Peak! She handled it like a champ...that All4 system is amazing ...i couldnt take it too fast because it is a road others are on plus its a little unnerving to be honest...5" strip of gravel separates you from a rather high plunge off the side of a mountain...ill post pics up soon plus some go pro vids too...

i can tell you this...dont let the size fool you...big girl can run and she is every bit a MINI...under the new body work there lives the heart and dna of her predecessors

 

just got word...the dealership traded slots with another and mine goes into production next week...got the production number too

 

the angry panda has been born...released to the carrier and waiting to head to the port

 

Here she is...my initial thoughts are wow! This sucker will get up and run....virtually 0 body roll

 

Got a suprise message from my buddy...the Paceman has left germany! She is on the K-Line "Columbia Highway" and should be in Georgia on the 18th!

 

here is an update...she is off the boat! has cleared customs and the VDC...will be released to carrier on monday

i am up near reno, nv for training and i had a couple of mini owners comment about who they didnt feel my paceman was a real mini...decided to take them on a little spin in the winding roads around here...lets just say they changed their opinion...there is a reason why i got a JCW...as ive said before dont let the car fool you....big girl can run

 

Got my hands on the Euro JCW GP2 style aero belly pan! Just a couple of extra clips and speed screws and she is on! Havent had a chance to take it for a drive yet...

 

im hoping to...i need to see what our schedule is going to be for going out to the ship next year...depending on when the car comes in i may hit up MSSD

 

found out from my sales guy that she is out of paint and final assembly...according to the completion date she should have rolled off the line and inspection today!

 

lol you have a point...though with the way people are waffling over buying my R53 it may be awhile till i sell her

 

i suspect it will go on one of those 3 boats...but like i said keep on your MA they will get the info far before anyone else

 

lol told ya it wouldnt be too long...since its not long after the factory shutdown they had time to clear out alot of the ones waiting...plus also im sure poking mini with a stick helped haha

 

in my case i did a nationwide search for the best dealer and the best deal...and my buddy talked to his sales boss and they came up with a sweetheart deal for me which blew all other offers cross the country...even ones here in cali...and since i found a buyer for my R53 in Tampa...so i can turn right around and go to the dealership in at MINI of Tampa Bay and roll out with my new shiny toy
