That's great dude! What a blast at drive it back to the west coast... Hope you're back for the Club meeting this Friday - although not sure where we're having it yet.
Out'a gas already Roger??? Dude, get that manual out and read-up before you get go'in again..... Just kidd'n man. That thing's the cat's a$$!
Nice looking ride for sure. Have a great trip! Time to update your MA garage and sig. 2014 JCW Paceman "Angry Panda" chewing up the road...
now that i have banged out the first 1200 miles on her i figure i would give an update... first off...she is quick! dont let the size fool you she can run...i am having to relearn on a new platform but whether or not she is in sport mode you hit the gas and she takes off...i have noticed a bit of turbo lag but the power comes in a lump... the AWD system works as advertised...i turned the DSC off and took a couple sharp corners with her and you can really feel it working plus at 70+ mph the system turns off and it turns into a FWD car...according to the car im averaging about 31.7mpg and thats in just the first 1k miles...ive noticed with each fill up the milage keeps improving... with this JCW i think they took the turbo muffler out of the intercooler piping and you cant hear it just as loud but right off the bat if you rev her up you will hear the blow off valve...also the exhaust was quiet in the beginning but now that its started to carbon up the burble is back baby i suspect there will be more paceman owners soon...i even got stopped by a good ol boy and his wife in kentucky and after they asked all the questions his wife asked where the nearest dealer was...and the look on her face to her husband spoke that he gets no say in this haha pt2 of epic road trip will commence next wednesday with hopefully if the weather holds a trip to the top of pikes peak
Well that was a fun trip...got back last friday...with all the side trips and so on i put about 4k miles on her but was worth it... i can safely say my paceman is the first on top of Pikes Peak! She handled it like a champ...that All4 system is amazing ...i couldnt take it too fast because it is a road others are on plus its a little unnerving to be honest...5" strip of gravel separates you from a rather high plunge off the side of a mountain...ill post pics up soon plus some go pro vids too... i can tell you this...dont let the size fool you...big girl can run and she is every bit a MINI...under the new body work there lives the heart and dna of her predecessors
here are some of the pictures of the peak...more to follow top o the world biznitches at the base station...the kiosk in the background is the start of the real ascent
