Dave, glad you were able to finally track it down. Unfortunately, the clock seems to start moving more slowly at this stage...

Here is the statute on displaying a plate in FL.

Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine

As I read it there has to be one on the rear.

This part in particular leads one to think you only need a rear.

You should take the week off to spend with your new baby. Kind of like maternity leave, its a federal law. I believe its called the the caring for cars act, its part of the health care law.

    Pictures!

The Franconia-Springfield garage? If you're anything like me, you spent an inordinate amount of time seeking out the ideal spot -- on a sparsely populated upper level; preferably an end spot to create a door-ding buffer zone with no overhead pipes or wires to serve as a bird roost. I'm so anal about this at the airport that I've sometimes almost missed my departing flight.

Those Clifton area roads on a sunny afternoon with the leaves turning and the top down must be absolute heaven.

I fell in love with the Roadster immediately. The test drive reminded me of my old MGB and sold me on the spot. This was my first day driving with the top down. I couldn't believe how many looks John Bull got today. Save your money and buy a Roadster when you can. The JCW exterior package made all the difference in the world to me. I love the appearance.

Car looks great and as for wheel cleaner I only use Sonax.

If you are really OCD like some of us :ihih: I have two sets of rims (Summer /Winter) and I only clean them with Sonax.

I do coat my rims with Rain-X before and after I swap them each season. It helps to keep what brake dust does get on your rims from etching in before you clean your wheels again with Sonax.

Oh and here is a great site for good auto detailing products . They have everything.

    Dave.O.

Thanks for the tip on Xzilon. I will not buy the product

I will try the Sonax and Rain-X. I've heard a few people recommend Adams products, but the Sonax and Rain-X sounds good to me. I wonder how the Akebono pads compare to the Wagner pads. We've had tremendous luck with the Jag in terms of braking and dust.

I appreciate the warm welcome, guys. Thanks! The waiting period until my Roadster arrives from England is indeed painful. There's not a day goes by where I don't check out internet pics of Pepper White Roadsters.

MA seems like a great site to pass the time. I've enjoyed several threads and discovered many friendly posters here. Look for me in the coming days.

Thanks, Gil. I'm closer to Twin Lakes Golf Club than the Town of Clifton. It's been nice, but we're looking forward to a Florida Gulf Coast move. That Roadster of your is really sharp. Seriously.

I hope so. I saw a Pepper White Roadster JCW on the lot before I ordered, so I have some idea what it will look like (versus a computerized configuration). The test drive was indescribable. Awesome.

I have a ship! My Roadster finished production 9/13, arrived at Southampton 9/16, departs England 9/20, and arrives in Baltimore 10/3. With the normal VDC delay, my Roadster will be in Sterling, VA 10/5. We leave for the Gulf Coast 10/12. Presumably, I'll have John Bull a full week before our Florida vacation.

Ship: Torino Departs: Southampton 9/21 Arrives: Baltimore, MD 10/3

Thanks, Nathan! Assuming the Torino arrives on time, I'm hoping the VDC delay in Baltimore isn't too bad. My MA said it's usually 2 days from the VDC to MINI of Sterling. Will they install the chrome driving lamps at the VDC or the dealership? VDC installation could conceivably delay my delivery even longer.

Not long now Dave! Still waiting for mine to get on a boat in Germany, next one leaving on the 25th, I don't think it'll make it.

    Tony,

Go to this site and enter In the last 7 of your VIN BMW Model Archive · BMW VIN Decoder · bmwarchive.org It provides your MINI's birth date, images of your exterior and interior, and an item by item listing of your options with assigned codes.

It took me a week to board a ship after production. The Torino is due in Baltimore on 10/2 at 4:00 AM EST.

That site is nice. Like the images of your vehicle? You realize our MINI's were both born on Friday the 13th in the Year 2013. Perhaps you'll name your MINI "Black Cat" or "Lucky".
