Thank you. I thought there might be a Floridian or two on MA who knew the answer. My MA e-mailed back saying "no problem". I hope he catches it in time.
My Roadster "John Bull" rolled off the truck at MINI of Sterling today! Delivery first thing Monday morning!
Dealership was closed today (Sunday), but I went to see my new Roadster anyway. Still wearing delivery wrap and slightly dirty, he still looked great! Delivery tomorrow! Not a very good picture, but meet John Bull:
As of today, '14 MCS Roadster John Bull is in the tampadave garage in Clifton, VA! I am officially a MINI owner!
You should take the week off to spend with your new baby. Kind of like maternity leave, its a federal law. I believe its called the the caring for cars act, its part of the health care law. Pictures!
Since you had to drive it home in the rain, the question becomes -- must you wash it before taking an album full of baby pics and sharing with the interested public? :confused5: :arf:
All the ^^^^^^, take those pictures..... What are you using for your wash and wax? I am sure you have a plan.
I'll get more pictures, I promise. Crappy weather outside right now. Question: when I turned the Roadster off, I heard the fan roar for a few seconds before shutting off. Then I heard a persistent tone, very low, that continued for quite some time before it stopped. Normal or what?
sounds normal...they probably keep the fan running for a bit because of cooling of the turbo and more than likely the noise was it cycling oil
Here is a picture to prove I really took it home. I took the wife for a quick spin and she really liked it, though she's not ready to give up her Jaguar XF. More pictures to come when I get him outside in the sun, top down!
I have no wash and wax plan yet. I'm stopping by the MINI dealership Friday - I recall they had a lot of products displayed. I've heard of others. If I recall correctly, for wheels I heard people recommend a Rainex and Sonax (?) combo. What have you heard of Xzilon?
