First time on The Dragon I was focused on staying on my side. But as I got comfortable with my new coilovers and sway bar keeping me stuck to the road I pressed my MINI harder.
At one point my stomach did flip-flops...but my MINI held! As I drove faster I felt the corners of my mouth turning up until I realized I had a maniacal grin on my face.
Will look to go back and spend more time outside Fontana. There is LOTS more worth doing there other than The Dragon (IMHO).-

I'm leaving here early Tuesday and am not real comfy about my tires and hydroplaning, but I hope to get to Fontana by Katietime.
Car is nearly packed, tires aired up and wheels torqued, cigars are all stashed and am looking forward to a nice Cigar Salon on the Porch Wed. night!
Safe travels, everyone!-

It would not be MOTD if something did not happen with my car.
So this years adventure with Gnat
The battery is dead.
So, how did we get to this point and how will it be fixed.
Last week I had all the fluids changed. Picked the car up and all was fine. Dropped the car off with the detailer, all was fine. When I picked up the car he said to me that a fan was running after he shut off the car. He disconnected the battery and plugged it right back in. No fan.
That was the first oddity.
I drove it home, then later ran some errands. No issues. I figured it was a fluke.
On the drive down here all was fine with the fan, didn't think anything of it. But now that I think back the heat was not great at times.
I went to go start the car today. Hmmmm key is not working to unlock doors remotely. Use the key like a key and unlock door. Try to start car. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
Ponder the situation for a bit and start to think maybe coolant wan't fully bled.
Since I can't text being I'm on AT&T and there is no service downloaded and installed a free app that lets me text via the web.
Text Chad. Asking about my situation. He says that if not bled fully it can cause the fan to run and run. To be safe he is also going to bring a new battery.
May this be my only issue during MOTD. I usually only have one every year.-

Just did the classic motorsports Mitty at Road Atlanta Saturday, so I unfortunately did the flat-bed shuffle on the way home. Had it not been pouring rain quite so heavily (car darting all over the road, cutting out, and the driver's foot well filling up to over two inches deep...), then we would have rolled through the Dragon at about four on Sunday. As it was, we got really good gas mileage for the trip:
Hopefully we can get one of the classics dried out for at least a donut interception run...-
