The NAM Classifieds are like eBay (Flee market) but is all MINI stuff.

That is / was the only thing NAM was good for.

At one point I was big into NAM (under DICKS GARAGE R53 for my screen name) and after causing a ruckus big enough to get most of my friends here (they weren't my friends at the time) banned from there, it became boring to me.
Turns out I like poking fun at people (who knew) and when everybody got the ban stick I had to move on. So at the Dragon in 2014, I had a chat with Nathan and decided to make M/A my home. I haven't turned back since!

If you are unhappy with the content for the Coupe, start posting! Most of the people here will at least look if nothing else... It only takes one to get the ball rolling. [emoji6]

I even tried to re register over there, so I could join in... But, honestly NAM isn't worth creating a new email account.

 

When ads for Fords and Harleys started showing up as STICKY posts in our club and event forums, that's when i quit looking at NAM, before then i was pretty regular. Then i took a hiatus from car forums for a bit before i saw the light and came over here permanently.

 

I find this to be the case with most everything in life these days

I think all the MODS quit....
or they finely realized many folks are on both..
and a bit of cross-pollination might keep them going a few more years....
either way...think the spiral is tightening on NAM...heck, it seems like 2 vendors are responsible for 50% of posts....

I spent quite a bit of time on nam when I first got my Mini. Got tired of the bickering and BS and went looking for something else. That's how I happened on MA. Only time I go to that site now is to check the classifieds. I've bought a lot of parts there with no problems and have sold quite a few there also.

Ethics are a touchy subject...
The mod posted as a member then used the power of a member...they did not use any "moderator powers", so how could they misuse " mod powers"?
I know that particular mod is not liked here, but it was textbook ethical behavior.
He did not ask to be treated different, nor did he misuse or USE any power as a mod...

While it was not IMO the way to proceed, individuals have options...he choose the option he wanted. I think the mods level of frustrion with IB/NAM showed in his post, and I believe it was his last post on NAM...think he is gone...
