You can bump up the tire pressure a few pounds, that'll help. Stiffer springs, too, but the problem is most aftermarket springs lower the car, which is not what you want. I've hauled 6 people in the MINI on a few occasions where I was the only one sober enough to drive. It drives a little different, but it's not too bad.

6 people in a mini! That's gotta be a record. Talk about a full ride!

:cornut: I've never had occasion to haul that much weight in Margi(08 R56 BRG MCS/JCWm) so no help here but this will be a bump to keep you at the top of the list. Common sense though tells me that only occasional short trips around town should be fine. 100mi on the highway at speed(now 75-85mph in TX) could certainly be a safety issue.

Thanks for the bump Jason and that's what I was thinking!

RKW/BlimeyCabrio, At some point i read something stating that it was set up for 150lbs per person in the front two seats, 150 lbs split between the rear seats and either 30 or 50lbs in the boot. I must have completely missed the part about 816 lbs max load. Thanks for the clarification. So it seems I may not have a problem after all.....
