    Warranty repairs is one of the few good things the Stealership offer and only because they have too.

    And make sure your antifreeze is good, your thermostat could have frozen.

    Temp sensor going bad? They can give false readings....

    I had this happen to me at about minus 20 degrees in my Rabbit GTI - turned out the lower radiator hose had shrunken away from the lower radiator fitting in the cold and was leaking.

    Check water pumps for leakage if your coolant is low. Don't take time getting it fixed if it gets too hot it doesn't take any time at all to blow the head gasket possibly warp the head. (Been there done that and now I'm on my second motor in my 08 MCS)

    Coolant was lower than the min, so I added some distilled water and am taking her in next week.

    It was no guess as most of us have replaced the thermostat housing at least 2 times or more.
