Hope that never happens. As it is once they add the turn lane at Powell Rd things should move along better. I love that road as it is & would hate to see its scenic beauty ruined.

FYI: Did you know that Ohio was the first U.S. state to have an automobile accident on any highway?

Won't happen.....315 north of Mt Air runs through the Olentangy River Overlay which prohibits such changes to the topography.

That pesky river thing is always in the way. We had the same problem in Cincy. That's why you can't go from the east side to the west side with out going north or south.

Nothing pesky about that beautiful waterway. I'm all for progress, but not at the sake of paving every green space.

Agree on the idea of 315 extending as a freeway and that it would be a shame to get rid of such a nice road. The problem is that road is so busy that it isn't fun anymore. At least extend the highway portion to Powell Rd and make Powell Rd 2 lanes wider and then watch as Powell and Worthington and some random township develop the hell out of it is it needs another lane.

Another factor are the current crop of city planners are a bunch of old guys who discount the newer theories on traffic flow so they fight alternative traffic plans. The reason for this is Ohio's jacked up local government structure that allows for all these townships that exist only to give people a way to avoid school taxes and to keep old farts employed as trustees and support staff. Don't worry I could rant on this topic for days, but I will spare everybody the reading. Summary 90% of Ohio's problems come from outdated municipal structure.

And this is why I cannot find planning jobs. It really is an old guys club. Not to take away from the other points given. But you are correct; they keep designing our streets and freeways the same way. There are better designs but they want to do what they know how to do no matter how wrong or poorly designed it is.
