Had a great time, some great P-Cars there Some of my pics... http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/photos-video/14305-pictures-p2o-porsche-show-granville-oh.html#post144414
It was a great show. I liked the setting in Oxford better, however it sounds like the towns layout has changed, and Oxford has a Chipolte. It was good hanging out with Chuck and Babs before they left. Sorry I missed the rest of you.
You you folks that did not make it over & for you that did here are pictures from Babs & I.... 7-28-2012 P2O Granville OH - crashton's Photos
Very nice photos. I need lessons, I saw the same things but not in the same way. Your pictures are much better than mine.
We all see things in a different way & capture them in our own way. I don't think mine are better. Just different from yours. Keep shooting Nathan.
White 911 in picture 20 would look great in my garage. Brian if you are able to get a 914 tell my how you worked it with Missy and I will try the same for a late 70's early 80's 911. I still regret not buying a 1975 a when I bought my Integra years ago.
Boxsters look odd to me in orange. Acceptable Boxster colors: Silver White Black against my better judgement dark green burgundy Unacceptable colors: orange red lime green blue Something about the simple shape lends itself to shades of grey or dark metalic colors. Also to me those wheels look terrible. Boxsters look best with the swept back five spokes from the early years or a really thin 12 spokes. The thick spokes look too thick in relation to the rest of the car. Since I am giving out my thoughts I also think the 911 looks worse every generation. The initial car had a great shape and porportions over time the evolution has done nothing for me. I like duck tail rear ends and whale tails only on turbo cars. Lastly the Panamera looks nice only if you are blind and have no taste I think it is worse than the Cayanne because it throws away function to fit the design of the back end of a 911. The SUVs (yep there are gonig to be 2 options soon) use the company nose but from there back it is just any other SUV only faster. I also like the fact that Porsche guys can now pull their cars with another Porsche and you see a lot of them doing this when Mid-Ohio has a Porsche club event.
Alan, c'mon....get off the fence and tell us how you REALLY feel. . BTW, I think the orange, bright yellow and lime green on a Boxter looks outstanding....but then you and I don't agree on much anyway.
If I had the means I'd tow my GT-3RS with my Cayenne Diesel to track days. They would all be color coordinated too. Trailer too, including wheel styles.
I didn't even bother showing any to her. I don't have the space, the tools, or the knowledge for an older car like a 914 or classic Mini.
Pepper white Boxster with orange wheels & mirror caps. Got it check..... Maybe I should have shot everything in Black & White. :ihih:
This was one of my favorites of the day The color was called Sand Beige and the pic from my phone does not do it justice.
