I had thought that (like the JCW Countryman) they are standard brakes calipers painted red. However an article in Auto Express says they are larger. Note: this article may be wrong. Read more: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/mini/paceman/62893/mini-jcw-paceman#ixzz2PytxkCjy The official MINI press release just calls them "red": May need to hunt through RealOEM and check...
they could be a larger version of the JCW CM brakes...however here is an interesting thought...the GP2 has the brake system from a 135i M sport...the standard 135i M brakes come in a 5 lug pattern....might be worth looking into
i dont see why you wouldnt be able to track day the car...ive seen Duell AG track the countryman...if you wanted to track it...pull the rear seats out...proper set of track wheels and tires...good suspension setup also a proper set of brakes and you would track it...hell if people can track a 5000lb mustang i dont see why you couldnt track a 3000lb MINI
Hey, JacMac, did you get those images from the configurator or a shop job, noted the JCW Paceman front plate logo. I like the silver and red combo, BTW. Don
Hi Don, Made them with the UK configurator. If you get one, please save a test drive for me @ MITM John
I'm sure people will track them. Just pointing out that they are not as light and nimble as the MINI hardtop. Some groups (like BMW CCA) may categorize it an SUV and therefor not permitted at HPDE events.
I understand your excitement about Paceman, only one thing I do not understand - why you do not mention the capacity of the gas tank for Mini Paceman, which is 12.2 gallons comparing to Mini Roadster or regular Mini Cooper or Mini Clubman - 13.2 gallons. I was under impression that Countryman and Paceman would have at least same capacity of the gas tank but I was wrong! I think BMW engineers should reconsider the capacity of gas tank for new Mini's and increase in actual size of these cars must have increased capacity of the gas tank - that's what make a perfect sense, not the other way around !
