    no need to lift. Its still a true automatic, it can't over-rev. If you forget to shift while accelerating, it will shift for you anyway to prevent a over-rev. I'm not sure its even possible to hit the rev limiter with an auto.

    Yup, What Vader said. You just shift, no throttle let off.

    That's why the Aisin automatic is quicker shifting than a manual.

    Would this be the same for manually shifting an automatic 88 F250? There's been a similar debate in my household :beer
