    That big smile on his face says it all. That is one happy man. I liked the part about one Mini was the cooks and the other his lordships. :Thumbsup:

    I met Paddy and heard him speak at the MC-40 introduction in early 2004.

    Very very cool guy!!

    Ditto!!

    In the vane of it being a classless car; BMW did a pretty darn good job of capturing that again with the new Mini!! I know when we go to a big club event or say a Phil Wicks driving event, there are folks driving them from every walk of life!

    Think maybe that is truely the essence of the Mini, that little something that perhaps no other brand captures so well. ;)

    Now let's go kick some tale in WRC Paddy!!!

    You make a good point Mark. I also believe that from the interview, Paddy was being realistic about not driving the new car, but he really wanted to get his hands on the wheel in a big way. :D

    Sometimes wisdom does come with age and Paddy's been around that turn too many times not to have plenty of it. But ya just gotta know if he was a bit younger he'd jump at the chance.. :)
