Ok, so Huntley got a new windscreen today, and looking over the bonnet there is yet another chip. Is there something about the GP paint that makes it softer than others? I've got the touch up paint ordered, but is there anything I can do to stop the chipping? The '04 with 70K has NO chips. The '08 has NO chips. Why my GP? :cryin:
touch up paint will look like crap. try Dr.ColorChip Custom Automotive Touch-Up Paint Kit - Dr. ColorChip: Automotive Paint Chip Repair Systems - did wonders for my car* *it works great on paint chips on metal parts. plastic dents more than it chips so it isn't as effective.
I have used Dr.Color chip on other peoples cars, it seems to work pretty well. If you use touch-up paint, do several light applications to slowly build up the chip, then use LANGKA Paint Chip and Scratch Repair to smooth it. Mark
