So I am going with Space Blue inner and Silver(roof color) outers.
Will keep everone posted.
I wanted black with red lip but wife said hell no. lol -
Get a spare tool, you'll probably need a breaker bar too. When assembled they used a thread locker that looks like Blue Locktite.

I spent $50 with this guy and my rims turned out great.

My local powder coater charges $70/wheel. That is complete strip and 2 coats with a clear.

Sent them a question about how their kit handles rock chips on the wheels. I got lots.....this is why I am leaning more toward powder coating mine

what was cracked? the rim or the center? If you have a spare barrel in good shape, my coworker needs one. he bent is pretty good (i.e. potato chip)
-
Sorry the crack is in the barrel portion of mine to. If he wants to sell 1 of his left me know.
-
That looks very nice. That should look great on the car and give it anice custom look.
Maybe you can let the paint cure for a few days then throw rocks at the wheel to test the durability of the paint.
-
Mock up of the new wheel next to the car. I like the color. It is a little brighter but I think it is a nice contrast.
What do you guys think? Move forward or change to a closer color match?
And yes I know I need to do some yard work but we have had 1.5ins of rain this weekend.Attached Files:

How did it do with the "rock test"? -
I used Dupli-Color DA1620 Royal Blue.
Not sure yet if I am going to CLEARCOAT them. I am worried that if I do they will be even brighter. Plus if I dont it will be easier to fix any rock chips if they happen(when they happen).
No Rock test for me. lol I left the outside rim stock and as far as the rocks testing goes I think the will hold up great. If you do all the right prep work and make sure you paint on a good warm day the paint will hold.
After all our cars are painted not powdercoated and they seem to hold up. -

I think they look very good. Nice touch on plastic cup to hold up the painted rim. The original caveman Photoshop

They look good but since you are going through all the trouble to prep and paint them, I would go a little darker to get a better match.
In the past I have gone to a local car paint shop and had them put specific auto color paint in a spray can. I think it cost about $16 a can but was a perfect match.
Also, if you decide to try a clear coat, I used a satin clear coat on some lug bolts and the satin was not so bright or shiny, it worked better good to give a little extra protection.
