Not disappointed at all. I had a number that I knew I wouldn't go below. They obviously tried, I wasn't satisfied, so I told them I'd try Carmax and check Scion. They obviously wouldn't let me leave.

I also know what you mean by looking at what they sell your cars for and being disappointed. Yeah, you get emotional and make a decision, but reality sometimes hits when you see the profit they make. I know they have to make money, but that doesn't mean it's not a bit shocking.

I'm happy with my decision, so that's what matters.

I would absolutely do that if we did not have a grumpy 26 year old (yes 26 year old) deaf, 1/2 blind cat already.

No her name is not Lucky.

Jason you should be happy with that sweet new car. When do we get to see it, next breakfast? :donut1:

I always tell them I understand they have to make money & they should understand they don't need to make all their money from me.

A perfect example is watching Pawn Stars. Someone brings in a item and an expert tells them that is worth $5,000. Rick asks them what they want and they say $5,000. Rick says I'll give you $3,000 for it and they still want to sell it to a Pawn shop for the same $5,000 that Rick is going to sell it for. They think he just passes money from one person to the next. It's a business....people. It exists to make money. It's not a hobby or non-profit organization! Sorry, off my soapbox now :)

Is it a twin turbo? They say turbo twice :)

Also it is my opinion that dealers should just give up on their web sites and list their inventory through Autotrader and cars.com and call it a day. It is so easy to list cars there and it provides all the information a person needs.

My other question is seeing what they are asking are you upset about what they gave you for trade in on your car? A friend who works for a finance company told me customers are calling after the deal upset that they got so little for their trade when they saw how much the dealer is asking for it used. Of course these people must know nothing about contract law, but I could see being pissed off if the difference was fairly large.

Why would anyone be pissed off? They made the deal, no one held a gun to their head & forced them. Folks walk into a dealer & the make an emotional decision. Leave emotion at home it will cost you at the dealership.

Dealers are there to make money. They make it on the car they sell & they make it on the one you trade in. Dealers make money that is how it works. Doing ones homework can save you money for sure.

I agree Chuck and I understand anything you sell you make a decision that at that moment the price is fair. If something changes you don't get to go back and re-negotiate. That said not everybody is as understanding or smart as the two of us :)
