Its always fun to see if cars are priced right by the dealer. Toy Barn had an STI last week at what I thought was a really low price it was gone in 2 days after being listed.
Sometimes they get it & sometimes they are smoking crack as far as used car prices go. Babs clubster sat at Beyers for quite a while because it was so over priced. Once the price was lowered to good price status there was a line for that clubster. We drove it on Saturday afternoon & when we walked in on Sunday to do the paper work there 3 people waiting to test drive Babs clubster. Our sales guy hid the keys so no one could drive it. I thought a couple of sales guys were going to come to blows over that.
I had the same issue with an M3 from Toy Barn, it was about 2K overpriced they dropped 3K and two of us made them an offer I was too low so the other guy won the car.
Wasn't meant to be Allen. That's what Babs & I said on the way to buy her car. FWIW I think you have a better car than that M3. How about a Panda?
Not disappointed at all. I had a number that I knew I wouldn't go below. They obviously tried, I wasn't satisfied, so I told them I'd try Carmax and check Scion. They obviously wouldn't let me leave. I also know what you mean by looking at what they sell your cars for and being disappointed. Yeah, you get emotional and make a decision, but reality sometimes hits when you see the profit they make. I know they have to make money, but that doesn't mean it's not a bit shocking. I'm happy with my decision, so that's what matters.
Over the last 2 years I made offers on cars that were turned down only to see their prices drop below what I offered months later. So they ended up loosing money on the floor plan interest.
Jason you should be happy with that sweet new car. When do we get to see it, next breakfast? :donut1: I always tell them I understand they have to make money & they should understand they don't need to make all their money from me.
