I said a similar thing to my husband after the photo arrived last year. He helped line up the cars and said I was crazy if I really though we had a chance of lining the MINIs up by color! He said that we were very lucky they were lined up as well and as quickly as they were. Barry, Tom has your back on this one. And I volunteer him to help with the lining up/ parking for the panoramic photo for MOTD 2011...if he did a good enough job to be asked back for the job!
How about a billiard ball line up? 15 MINIs arranged on a grass field with white roofs for stripes and body colored roof for solids. And all PW MINI as the Que Ball. Time to go back to work:crazy::mad2:
Actually I just found this one today. (kinda wish I didn't) Can someone pass the mind soap......trying to wash that mental image of Nathan in chaps ....
one of the funniest super bowl commercials a few years back (+10), was of a bunch of grizzled cowboy-types herding cats...OMG, picking hair off their leather vests, getting scrtached, etc don't remember the Internet company, but who remembers the commercial? pac:lol:
I love the idea of a rainbow of MINIs, but I always felt bad for the folks trying to set up the cars... looked like a huge effort just to get us driving to A parking spot, let alone the CORRECT spot! I was leading a sunrise drive one morning and we were sprinting back, trying to make the photo op on time (I won't tell you how fast we ran the Hellbender! ). I radioed ahead and you could almost hear the frustration in their voices, knowing that 20 more cars were coming in at the last minute. On the pool ball front: I voluenteer to be the cue ball! now we just need a few other colors!
I remember that morning. It didn't help that we were stuck behind that "Tour Bus":mad5:. I didn't think we were going to make it. And on the billiard ball idea, I volunteer for the 14 ball.
I don't see how they could do this in the time frame that is allowed. It would be a worse madhouse:mad2:
