If anyone needs parts from MAG let my know because I have a $170 credit on my account that can't be transferred over to the VW side of the business. I would like to recoup some of the money so I'm willing to work out a deal.
That's crap, if it's all MAG, it should be transferable. I had a similar issue with a dealership when I sold my Volvo. I had a $300 credit that I was able to use at any of their dealerships. Fortunately, they had a MINI dealership.
I just sent Micheal an email about this because I realized that I spoke to one of the BMW SA's (the one who I like the least) and not him personally. Has anybody talked to Sam recently? He is not listed on the over all MAG website as being on the staff.
When I called mag a couple weeks ago, I was told Sam wasn't with the company anymore... Neither was Amber? Who is the goto MAG person now when you need to talk shop with someone? Hoping you can get this worked out with Mag...
Sam is at Kelly BMW and seems quite happy. He said to say hi to the MOM crew. Hadn't heard that Amber was gone. Let's just say the times are changing a bit there.
When I had Allison's X3 over there a few weeks ago, the service was crap! I miss Sam, guess I will be going to Kelly from now on...
crap1 krap/Submit vulgar slang noun 1. something of extremely poor quality. rubbish; junk. 2. excrement. an act of defecation. verb verb: crap; 3rd person present: craps; past tense: crapped; past participle: crapped; gerund or present participle: crapping 1. defecate. Origin Middle English: related to Dutch krappe, from krappen ‘pluck or cut off,’ and perhaps also to Old French crappe ‘siftings,’ Anglo-Latin crappa ‘chaff.’ The original sense was ‘chaff,’ later ‘residue from rendering fat,’ also ‘dregs of beer.’ Current senses date from the late 19th cent. crap2 krap/Submit noun noun: crap; plural noun: craps 1. a losing throw of 2, 3, or 12 in craps. verbinformal verb: crap; 3rd person present: craps; past tense: crapped; past participle: crapped; gerund or present participle: crapping 1. make a losing throw at craps. withdraw from or give up on a game or activity because of fear or fatigue. Translate crap to Use over time for: crap But seriously, I shouldn't have to call them and argue about an oil change that it was due for. If Sam or Amber were there that day it would have never happened. Some of the advisors over there are less than smart...
I've dealt with Michael, he was a good guy and helped me get my wheel bearing replaced when they originally refused to do it. They did take good care of me last time I was there. But its been a little bit.
It is all part of the service experience. Almost every negative experience that I have ever had with MAG service has been due to SA's (never Amber though). Unfortunately, the SA's are the customer facing component of service.
Doesn't poor communication have an overall affect in the entire experience? You can have a great meal with poor service and you may not want to return. You're more likely to return for mediocre food with excellent service. Key is whether or not it is a consistent issue. While Mag's actual service may consistently be top notch, the customer service plays a big role in that experience. I haven't had a bad experience, but it is not crazy to think that others have.
Can't disagree with that logic. What I disagree with is stating that service is crap when it should have been stated that communication was poor.
I saw your car today then I was blinded by the chrome wrapped 7 Series at Toy Barn. If you are in the area please stop to see this thing it is truly amazing.
For me every poor service event I have had at MAG has been based on poor communication, which to me is crap. I do not have the time to contact them to perform service I was told they would perform. It was much better when Sam was there and now has quickly gone the other way...
Hopefully someone at MAG will care & turn things around. Like other's I have to say that most every service experience has been good. When there was a problem (stuff happens) it was fixed correctly asap. I have only had 2 bad experiences with SA's. One SA no longer works with MINI & the other still does & has a fan club that I do not belong to. I'm sad that Sam has moved on I'll miss him. He's one great guy & was a good friend to all us local MINI owner's. If I had a BMW I'd follow him to Kelly. Somewhat off topic but, I now use Best Motor Werks. Never had any issue with them. Great work ethic, communications & their work is top notch. Back on topic, how much for a $170 voucher???
....in your opinion. As previously posted, I've experienced no change in the quality of customer service at MAG. In fact, I feel that Mike, the new service manager, truly gets it and has been extremely open and forthright with me. I'm a happy camper!
