    Darwin-ning at its finest.

I hope for the sake of everyone around him, the impulse of the mortar launch just snapped his neck like a twig.

Hopefully, the tube didn't become one with the stem of his brain through the new skylight opening in the top of his skull. Also, hope his head didn't pop like a 12 year old's zit. Not to say some of the people there to witness it don't already have this going for them...

But if it was on of the latter two results... you can rest assured there are at least a half dozen people dealing with that right now.

Well, there ya have it! A drunk trying to use his melon as a launch pad. No pun, but really this isn't rocket science... Strangely though, something tells me that this family will probably take on the State of Maine since they only legalized fireworks in 2012. What kind of training can you possibly have in only three years....?

The mom now wants training classes...

Staples’ mother, Kathleen Staples, said she is going to reach out to lawmakers about the possibility of tighter controls over fireworks. The state should consider requiring safety training courses before allowing someone to use them, she said. She compared fireworks with other regulated items such as cars and guns.

That limo stood up to being hit by 10,000 tons much better than Hollywood has led me to expect.

Now that train has mega thousands of dollars worth of costs involved in removing the flat spot on every wheel that was locked up...

While not exactly new, that is a decent road locomotive that shows as still on their roster of active equipment.
Wasn't going all that quickly so damage was most likely minimal. Much worse to hit something solid and heavy like a loaded dump truck. Tankers aren't much fun either.

So Nofolk & Southern don't put copper grease on the backs of their brake shoes then?

Considering the limo was hit just where it had been stretched, it survived very well. Credit to the builder.

The train needs a cow-catcher. Or something like this:
