The brake pad sensor that clips on the pads needs to be replaced. It may just be one of the wires if you want your MINI to tell you when your pads are low.
* If you don't care about the idiot brake light you can cut and strip the wire back and twist them together to complete the open circuit that is triggering the light. Once you twist the wires together the it will turn out the light. I did this a long time ago and zip tied the wires back out of the way.
