Wow, that's sad, I think I missed the one about the Israeli/Iran border but I still did better than 93% of those who took the test.

12 of 12 correct. Pretty darn good I say being I don't watch televised news but mostly read newspapers online.
-
Well..
with the questions asked, the bar is low indeed. Makes the response curve for correct answers really, really all the more depressing.

As it is said, while ignorance maybe bliss, knowing is half the battle. -

12 of 12. Thought I'd miss one, but I got 'em all. Don't tell my boss how much time I spend reading the news online. :incazzato:

8 0f 12 accurate reflection of how I tune out allot of news due to a feeling of powerlessness and have become almost numb to it.

12 for 12 - but I had to think about two of them.
Here's Your Score: You correctly answered 12 of the 12 possible questions along with approximately 2% of the public. You did better than 98% of the general public.
New rule - those with less than 12/12 aren't allowed to post in this forum.

I really wish they would have asked a demographic question about which TV and Radio talk shows you watch/listen to... that would be REALLY interesting....
Who scores better? Olby fans or Beck fans? Limbaugh listeners or Rhodes listeners? Where would those who get their "news" from "The Daily Show" score? -
Daily Show people probably score the highest...
The Daily Show's Jon Stewart has been selected in an online poll conducted by Time Magazine, as America's Most Trusted Newscaster, post-Cronkite. Matched up against Brian Williams, Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson, Stewart prevailed with 44 percent of the vote.
And to drag this into another current thread...John Stewart sure does wear his Jewishness on his sleeve. -
I wonder how many of the people who missed the "Public Option" and "Cap and Trade" questions support universal health care and environmental bills that contain those concepts. They're both really great sounding phrases ("Hey, it's an option, for the public!" "I love my Yankees Cap and used to trade baseball cards as a kid!") that can sure sound attractive with no knowledge of anything else on the matter. -
I prefer to test my knowledge by listening to NPR's "wait, wait.. don't tell me!"
It's way more entertaining.. -

Too easy...If ya can't nail that you shouldn't be able to vote...

There's some interesting stuff in the analysis...
But some other things, on average, repubs got 5.7 right, dems only 5...
the 2007 report had correlation with news source...
But what's depressing is that in the latest survey, the median was somewhere around 5 answers correct in what should be pretty close to a gimme quiz full of softballs.
