Keep it coming everyone!
I flew down to South Carolina on Jan. 2 to visit some of my MINI family there. Was planning on going on the Dragon again but weather conditions weren't ideal.
I'll post some pictures when I get back to NJ-

This was my first long cross-county as PIC and in the 172 (the other times were in the right seat on corporate flights). What a rewarding experience to do that and to be honest it wasn't difficult. Had an awesome time.-

Did you ever take the 'Pinch Hitter' course? My co-pilot did and it made a positive difference in the overall comfort level aloft. She can handle a 6 speed and a road full of twisties pretty well too.

Me, I was all for this even when the very thin spread Sky Marshalls could be aboard. What ever happens to the air craft and passengers, the Captain is 1st in line for civil/criminal charges.

The original female pilots organisation of ,obviously, the 1st 99 female pilots including Amelia Earhardt, Pancho Barnes, and Jackie Cochran. Jackie Cochran was the 1st female to break the sound barrier(under the coaching of Chuck Yeager). I'd say that Sandra was 99 #2(in jest) but I'd get cracked over the head with a blunt instrument.:lol::lol:
Interestingly when Sandra joined they had a printed logo of their own Flight Wings but no Pin On Wings to display on their Jackets. So I took the printed logo to a local Jeweler and he made up 2 wings badges in silver and I gave 99's Wings #1 to Sandra. Now the 99's have official pin on wings.

I'm not a pilot either, but a "beginner" skydiver.
Twelve static-line jumps, starting in 1978. Five IAD jumps, summer of 2011.
And FINALLY EXPERIENCING FREEFALL
, two tandem jumps this past summer; followed by the AFF ground school.
I've been trying to sell the MINI to pay for the AFF course, but now the season is over for me.
Gotta get into it next Spring, for sure. At 59 years of age, I can't put it off much longer; I'd like to earn my "A" license before I get old! :biggrin5: -

I agree, I would like to experience it once for the thrill of it but flying is much more of an enjoyable experience for me. -

"If you want to fly, get out of the plane" is a slogan that I've seen on skydivers' t-shirts, and it says it all.

I'm not a pilot (but I would like to be) I've flown a cessna 172 with a trainer I did everything but land the plane. Hopefully someday I'll have the funds to pay for training, because the one time I did fly was amazing.

Oh and skydiving is on my list of things to do sometime soon.
