But they do have one advantage....
Real names, and people have history if you research them if you are doing a $$ deal....
Fixes some of the forums issues, of folks randomly making new names, ripping people off, etc...
Sure it limits abilities to use a different name as an alter-ego.... -

Nice roll of the dice with this set of responses.
Glad I could help.

I can definitely say MINI "quirks" weren't what made me buy a second 2nd gen MINI. It was the uniqueness of the car. But MINI is less unique and more mainstream. 4-doors, 6-doors, longer, wider and lumbering compared to my older MINI.
My next car won't be a MINI unless they start making them MINI-size again, which I doubt they will. They're making money selling their tankers to the masses who want to proclaim "I drive a MINI" but will never drive it like a MINI.

Ah yes, MINI sized, I will post pictures later today as they have some dealer showings today of the 17 MINI (bigger) Countryman. I have a curiosity on how it looks in person. So far the night pictures from others looked good.

So Don are you saying it looks good in the dark? Hope it looks good when you wake up in the morning with one. :eek6:

Actually it looks good in the light at the dealership during the day light hours. It is not as big as pictures lead you to believe. The bulk is due to the rounding of the rear quarter panels which are tiny bit more robust.
I will post pics in AM.
Overall, I liked it, much better than the new 16/17 Clubman and if you like BMW comforts, this would be the MINI for you. The young man who is touring with the factory car is taking all the snowy backroads in Colorado. The ALL4 system in the 17 Countryman S has not let him down, semi tracks were off to the side of the road over Wolf Creek pass coming up from Durango. And this is on all-seasons from the factory. So that part works....
Anyway, it might be a candidate to replace the 11 in 2018 or perhaps I may pass the 16 to they wife and get a new Alfa Romeo Guilia TI with AWD.

F56 peeps are tired of getting beat up and have started their own hangout. http://www.minif56.com/
I have been looking for this MINI Unfiltered that was mentioned, not finding anything. -
The only thing I'd found was this http://miniunfiltered.com/ and it's very...static.

I think Mini Unfiltered was a FB group, a couple folks who hang on M/A went over to hang out.
Still getting caught up with my pictures, so maybe on Thursday for the CM 2017 reveal.
