    It appears that you dodged the bullet and you do not have an Intelligent Battery Sensor so no registering for you.

    I have heard that ^ too. Although I have never registered the battery on my wife's R55 Clubman. We are on our third battery with no issues what so ever.

    It's not true. If there is no battery sensor you don't have to register it period.

    I have heard both ways.. even without the Battery sensor that is needs to be registered.

    I had a friend with a Carly app re-register mine when I had my 2012 Clubman battery replaced.
    There are options for different amp/hour ratings if your replacement is different than the original

    It's not an opinion kind of thing. If there is no battery sensor, there is no mechanism for the ECU to detect and adjust the alternators output to match the battery's state of charge.
