Is there a way to not get these? I get emails and get all excited only to find its about 'voting for this or that...." Ive disabled PMs from moderators but that didnt help. Just wondering... Its not that big a deal, but its giving me a lot of "spam-ish' emails since i dont care all that much for them.
You can disable the email notice of PM's in the UserCP -> Edit Options->Private Messaging->Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages I do monitor these to check for bounces and unsubscribes after I send them out. The unsubscribe rate is around 0.01% telling me that the majority does not mind them. I try to never do force PM's or emails to those that have unsubscribed unless it really is that important that all should know, like the site blowing up.
i guess i can deal.. i really want email notification when there are important things that other members may want to contact me for. thanks!
The whole PM and email thing is one area the software falls down on. I'll look around for plugins that may work the PM and email system better.
