How about you tell us where you got that I/C from and then we might think of ways for you to polishing![]()

Dremel makes many different sizes of polishing/buffing pads, you could probably find some that would fit.

check out
industrial tool catalogs for very narrow polishing wheels. While you COULD do it with a dremel, it would take forever. Also, PM Lynn (Nitrominis) cause he's polished or powdercoated prettymuch everything under the sun at one time or another.....

:eek6: who me! naw!
I would not bother with polishing as it will not last and be a PIA to do. I would have it nickel coated. If you were going to polish it might as well have a shiny coating that will last and you won't have to go back and re-polish. Yes we all know about the effects of some coatings as well as polishing with regard to heat. It will not make any substantial difference that polishing it wouldn't do anyway..
Try call here?

They are not automotive aware so they may not have a clue what an IC is just tell them it is an aluminum radiator. I had them recently do my High Capacity MINI radiator among dozens of other things over the years.

It's to late for that. I had it polished 2 years ago and now I'm tring to keep it that way. I've been taking it off maybe once a year and taking it in to have it polished, but thats a pain also. -
It's never too late for plating...
and the finish will last longer. It's a good idea really, even though it's been polished, you can still get it plated.
Just something to think about...
