YOU can't cut out the sunroof and just fill it in? I don't believe it...no way, not after seeing all you have done to the ratrod.:frown2: THAT should be a piece of cake for you.

Yes, 41K is a JCW equipped ALL4 S, with no sunroof but with auto-paddles, JCW suspension etc.

I hope I can trade off a car or two when it is time.

    :)

Sometimes I think that because you're such an artiste with metal that you overlook the easy solutions. You live in Colorado, where the air is thinner and therefore lighter, right? So open up the sunroof all the way and fill your car with that special Colorado air to make your car weigh less. Problem solved! :biggrin5:  :beer

See you'er thinking somewhat along the right lines, but our air has more mass because it is filled with some sort of "smoke"...

This makes the thin air (which makes less power) more dense (more resistance placed on the moving object)... :)

Nope it will stay the way it is. I'm sure I will learn to love it this summer, when I start having withdrawals from not being able to take the top and doors off.

They just switched from Castrol to Shell. The last delivery we got from MINI now has the BMW brand on the bottle instead of MINI. It looks about the same from the small print: synthetic with similar additives.

    Thats good to know!

I only had the OE oil in for the first 1000 miles then dumped it for the T6...
You can actually hear and feel it run quite a bit smoother with the Rotella. Plus a gallon and a quart only costs $31 out here, so its pretty cheap when compared to some of the Mobil-1 and Amsoil stuff!

With the 71 degrees it is outside that roof is wide open! Now how do I take the doors off?

Both of mine are non smoking cars now. :) So nice to not have everything smell like an ashtray!

I don't smoke inside my house, even though my wife grew up around smokers. I smoke in my cars, but then, they ARE mine. I also smoke on my patio in nice weather and on my enclosed porch with windows cracked open and 2 oscillating high mounted wall fans running when the weather is rotten.

Truth be told, I can no longer tell whether my cars sell of smoke anymore or not, but even then, I always have a window or my sunroof cracked open a bit just to let the smoke out. :ihih:

Long time since the last update... So:

My windshield is screwed... Waiting for one of these rock chips to turn road map any day now.

Had the oil changed at MOL when the reminder came on at 7800 miles.

Also getting a passenger seat weight sensor replaced under warranty... The seatbelt buzzer just goes off randomly with a totally empty seat!

Other than that, no issues to speak of, still averaging 24 MPG, and still love having a daily that can get out of its own way plus haul my crap around. All modification plans are currently on hold, I only need one modified MINI at a time. :)
