1st Gen R53 Cooper S Possible slave cylinder failure?

    Well, they changed out the slave cylinder and the problem still remains. Their original quote for a clutch job was $3500 including a new flywheel if needed, and after calling around to a couple of shops in the area and a couple other Mini dealerships, the lowest and highest price was $2700/$2800. I presented them with those prices and they agreed to do it for $2800. As far as the upgraded slave cylinder, I talked to Collin about it and he's waiting on an order for the steel braided lines to come in from his supplier here in Texas of all places. So, once the clutch is done I'll be doing the slave cylinder upgrade.

    Well, I picked Astro up today about 10 minutes before the service department closed. Gotta go back in the morning for them to bleed the slave cylinder again. Clutch pedal is soft as hell and shifting into the gates is cluncky. But, the clutch was indeed bad...I got the parts and bill to prove it.
