Possible to retro-fit gauges (cockpit chrono package)?

While our '04 is still under anesthesia waiting for me to re-install the head, among other things, we want to address some other issues. Mainly the torn-up and worn-out drivers seat. Found a 2005 in a local junkyard with leather seats and we're going to go check that out tomorrow, hopefully bringing them back to swap into our car, if they're not trashed.

But the point of this post is: That '05 has the Cockpit Chrono Package. If I pull those gauges - the big center with multiple gauges in it, and the dual-pod of tach and speedo for the steering column - does anyone know if it's possible to install those and get them all working in a non-chrono package car?

Seems like a long shot but what a bizarre opportunity, can't help but consider it.

I wish I could help on that one. I don't know if it would have to be programed or not. Was that an option in 04

Chalk this one up to a "nevermind." Didn't take me searching (after starting this post, of course...) to learn that it's been attempted and is either extremely difficult or impossible. Main challenge is with my car being an '04, it would require a DME from an '05, along with resetting the odometer among many other issues. Even then there's no guarantee that each gauge would even work. Not worth it!!

My 05 has the chrono package and while I love it, I would just go with the gauge pods from cravenspeed.

I really like the look of the CravenSpeed FlexPod gauge setup. To me it just has a kinda retro look that goes with the R53.
