Did it together with a friend of mine. We did a base with the dark blue and the other stripes are laid on top of that. The colors are slightly turned down from the original ones to better match the DS. Normally the martini racing livery is done on a white car, but in the 70's they also did a few silver porsches. That is what gave me the idea.

Wow, funny thing I just saw this same Mini in a Flickr pool and fav'd the photo and now I run into the owner on here. Fun stuff, love the stripes.
Picture update I was taking a drive into the mountains on Saturday with a couple of other MINI owners on Saturday morning. Since I was designated photographer, I had a couple of moments as I waited. A fresh morning picture of my R56 with some soft lighting. A quick snapshot, but at least Scooter was clean. Don
