My power steering squeaks like crazy is there anything I can do short of replacing it to fix this. I love my car but I would love it so much more if it quit squeaking every time I touch my wheel.

Every time you touch the wheel?

So is the noise up in the steering wheel or down in the rack or engine compartment?

You'll need to give us a bit more info.....

Are you looking for a DIY repair, or just to know what you're going to spend to fix it?

Why not drive it by your dealer or trusted shop and ask the service writer to take a listen - they'll usually give you an idea of what you're up against without charge, then let us know what they say?

That way we might be able to help you better.....

It's from the engine bay, I'll try more fluid and if that doesn't work I'll head to the mini dealer.

    Thanks for your help guys.

Make sure you use the right fluid -- your MINI needs a different sort of PS fluid than most cars -- and be careful to not overfill.

I'm wondering whether the word "squeaking" is misleading. My '02 Cooper makes an annoying high pitched noise every time I touch the wheel, has since the day it was new, but that's just the sound of the electro-hydraulic PS pump working.

Might be a typo. K & L keys are adjacent. May have meant "squealing".

It sounds like the OP is not mechanically inclined, hence my suggestion to go to the dealer or a trusted shop for a diagnosis, I doubt they are capable of doing repairs themselves, just based on the first post and since they didn't answer any of my questions.

Good luck, let us know what you find out.
