    I'd be more inclined to think a caliper is sticking.

    Agree with Nathan, it sounds more caliper related than bushing related...unless your buddy forgot to torque down the front control arm ball joints or another fastener. Does the car drive normal otherwise?

    I run the Madness front control arms which have spherical bearings [metal sphere, no bushing at all] and I get no noise in normal street driving. If this setup isn't noisy, solid polyurethane certainly shouldn't be. Have your installation checked.

    Sounds like something is loose

    or the caliper issue mentioned. The powerflex can't have a metal-metal hit.

    Check to make sure everything you took off to do the bushings is tight.

    Totally agree. Even the masters leave a bolt loose once in a while.

    A quick check might be the tension spring on the caliper, easy piece to forget to put back, and you can see if it's there through the wheel. I backed out of the driveway with it off once and heard a similar noise.
