These types of laws make it more difficult for the law abiding citizen to obtain arms and ammunition. They also add a layer of complexity to the retailer. Records have to be kept by the retailer and made accessible by law enforcement. In turn this is going raise prices artificially in California forcing people to seek alternatives. If I was a gun shop owner in AZ, NV and OR I'd be sending the gov a very nice gift basket. The poor Cali based gun shop owner will take in less revenue due to reduced sales possibly costing jobs and affecting the Cali tax base in a negative manner.
But then again the budget in Cali is a laughing matter anyway.-

I was going to start in 08 then the prices went back down. I started looking again but the equipment has a 4 month waiting list and supplies are hard to find. I may not be doing much range time this year.

:cornut: Maybe, I don't know but maybe, we are just slow out of the gate and the reason for waiting lists and low shelf stock else where is that many people are getting into realoading and being 'quiet' about it. Also people tend to keep their reloading equipment even when not in use, as opposed to selling it. The marksmanship community has always been a quiet community. We tend to gather in small groups at ranges and gun shops(NEVER bars or drinking socials unless the guns are locked away. Gun people do tend to be social imbibers but the practicing alcoholic has no place in our midst.). I think that this tradition is in keeping with wanting to be distinctly seperate from the Rambo/Criminal/ Leftist Revolutionary crowd. Hell, we're having to fight the last 2 groups tooth and nail even as we speak. The 1st group can be quietly educated(usually but not always) to our conservative quiet(except we are not quiet concerning Constitution/2nd Ammendment trashers) upstanding way of teaching proper citizenship and if they don't respond then they go on to choices #2&3 and are dealt with by proper authority. So back to reloading. These days what with 'on line' shopping and all, one has to educate him/herself before 'smokin that plastic' and buying expensive/unnessesary/dangerous combinations of supplies/presses/dies etc. I was very fortunate in having the tax payers via our beloved Armed Forces educate me(thank y'all very much) as to Arms half of the way and continued my ongoing education via self study. Reloading is:
1. Get an education/fund of knowledge. The NRA's 'American Rifleman' is an excellent place to start and that will lead you to other good and more in depth choices(kind of like learning about 'MINI's' aint it.)
2. Have a rifle/shotgun/pistol/revolver and learn gun safety and how to use it properly and accurately. Doing this with other friendly enthusiasts is all part of the fun. It's also where one will get a good education as to Good and Bad advice.
3. Buy a reloading manual and read it. Speer, Hornaday,Sierra, and other companies write good in depth reloading manuals. 'Midway Company' (get the online address from American Rifleman or do 'engine search') and others can supply all the realoading equipment that our little hearts could desire at reasonable prices and they can offer advice and back up their products. Along the way you'll discover other companies that provide OEM and aftermarket gun parts and gunsmithing supplies.(Now it's really starting to sound like working with MINI's isn't it?)
4. You'll have fun, learn alot, and make new friends. You'll know in your heart that you are 'standing tall' as a good American Citizen(and MINIac!) and be able to pass that knowledge on to other citizens in need in these troubled times. Then somewhere along the way we'll start a MINI SHOOTERS ASSN loosely aligned with we Mini Drivers, maybe. One never knows?...........

Thanks Jason.
We are proud of him. He does very good work and is extremely detailed on his gun work. If you ever need anything gun wise give him a call. In those shots you'll also see the customer rifles he made based on K98 actions.

I solved the ammo shortage today. Cabela's has been hoarding it for their new store in Columbus. There was a good bit on the shelves but I didn't feel like waiting 2 hours to check out. It was a crazy place.

:cornut: The ammo shortage, of course, is only in the popular calibers. One can still get the expensive and rare: 38/40, 44/40, 32/20, .38 Long Colt, .38S&W( also called .38 Colt New Police and not to be confused with the popular .38 S&W spl),.455 Webley, .32/40, .38/55, .45/70govt, .50/90 Sharps, 450/577 Enfield, .50 Browning Machine Gun. Not very many of us need those calibers however.

:cornut: That's Great! Just for variety, could you change the revolver to an AR15 or other rifle 'in side profile' for side by side comparison( no, the next suggestion is better than just changing to a rifle). Or rifle and revolver in side profile, barrels pointing diagonally up and crossed. To make it look good/balanced, you may have to adjust the sizes of the revolver and rifle. Yeah 2 weapons crossed illustrating both a hand gun and a rifle which illustrates the multiweapon abilities of MINI Shooters. The MINIs look great, don't change a thing there! You're a talented man Sir.

Very nice.
In the spirit of the thread my MINI took me to the range to break in my M&P9c with 210 rounds. It performed flawlessly and put a smile on my face.-

hahaha. thats cuz you obviously (probably) look 21 or over. and the Govna', if i can recall correctly from the news, said that to buy a gun you need to give the seller your finger prints alongside your name and address and registration etc etc.
i think the fingerprints is a really good idea, as i t will tighten up security on gun laws and gun crimes. kudos to the terminator. -

I'm gonna start pouring lead bullets and reloading again. Screw'em.
And if they regulate primers, I'll go muzzleloader. Makes a bigger hole in the target, anyway.
