As in years past, we're offering a pickup option at MINIs in the Mountains for Prima orders placed through our direct online ordering system (www.ShopPrimaCarCare.com) or by phone.

This means that you can order from us and get FREE SHIPPING by picking up your order at MITM in Winter Park. Here are the instructions/rules:

    • You must use this promo code when you place your order: MITM2010 Without the code, you won't receive free shipping and we won't have any way to know that we should bring your order to Winter Park with us.
    • You must order by Midnight (MST), Tuesday, August 10, 2010.
    • You must pickup your order from the Prima booth at the car wash area by 5pm on Saturday, August 14th. If you don't, we'll ship it to you the following week and charge for the shipping cost.
    • Note that we will NOT have any gallon sizes available for sale at MITM; however, we will be selling most of our product lineup in the standard 16oz size, as well as a small sampling of Prima microfiber, at MITM at special event prices. This special price will be a rounding down to the nearest $5, in most cases (exception: Monster Fluffies will be the same price as usual). Therefore, gallons would be a particularly good thing to order ahead for pickup! It's unlikely that we'll be bringing any Cut or Finish with us. Also, we bring a limited supply of everything with us so you should either get to our booth early in the event or pre-order online. We run out of at least one product (usually more) every year (regardless of how well I try to anticipate sales!).
    • You will receive your order neatly packed in a box, just as you would if you were ordering it to be shipped to your house. This should make it tidy and organized for you to bring home with you.

I feel like I'm forgetting something but I'm sure you'll let me know! Please post here or email me directly if you have any questions.

Thanks and I hope to see many of you soon!!

    -Heather

Of course I will be there supporting Prima as well, and will have some additional microfiber products that Prima doesn't have..course limited by what I can pack in the Clubbie along with all my gear.

Thursday looks like the day I will be demoing Prima demos and atleast one clinic, so people I suggest you get your products from Heather, and let me show you how to use them (well Mark and Chuck can ignore this lol).

From what Chuck tells me, Thursday is the best day, and I'm waiting on the final schedule to be released? I might have misunderstood..got sooo many things going on at once here. But I will do a group or personal one on one clinic if needed. Can't wait to see you again bud.

Richard, if you need a car to demo on...well mine has been sitting in a shop for as of today 11 weeks and that shop shares space with the locations body shop division. It's been up on a lift for most of that time so you can imagine the layer of crud on every surface.

Just offering to see if I can be of some help :D

If I was doing the scheduling I'd suggest a polishing 202 demo, I have a couple scrathces that my methodology/equipment just isn't getting that I *think* I should be able to

We'll use Nate's ride as a test car

Oooo I've been wanting to order some stuff to try it out. I'm still a detailing noob but I've heard that Prima is some good stuff. :) I've been using Zaino stuff but I don't really like the wax much...

    Thread Bump!

Come on guys, order some stuff from Heather! You'll have the extra bonus of me showing you how to use it, or if you already know how..maybe I can help you squeeze every last drop out of it with some alternate techniques! The detailing sessions are free and will be offered through the entire event, time permitting!

So long as the mistakes are tasteful in manner then a bit of red might just work.

While you really can't go wrong with Prima, I would still suggest you ask some questions about what to order! Or I will be happy to advise you. They won't be bringing the whole store to the event, so best to order what you "think" you will need first but that can be daunting, so get some expert advice. :D
    Hahah of course! :cornut:

Is the car wash soap actually worth it? I've been debating on wether or not to pick some up. I do want to order a bottle of Banana Gloss and maybe some hydro... and nero for my interior.

Oh I do have a question about the Nero, can you clean you leatherette with it?

I've made a whole shopping cart once already and it came up to over a hundred dollars. Planning on picking up towels and things at MITM. :)

It's fantastic stuff, use it all the time. It is not the only one out there. Griot's makes a good one and others. You are going to pay for quality.

I'm not a big fan of Banana Gloss compared to other 'top coat waxes', thats just me, but I highly recommend Epic for it is named very appropriately

I cannot imagine washing my car without the extra WOW that Hydro adds

    Oh yeah........

    .

You can buy all the stuff at Walmart etc and it will cost you far less but it does not touch the quality

Add the support from Nick, Heather and OG for any question you may have on using these products cannot be beat. Try calling Turtle Wax and have someone walk you through each step by step.........

TGS91 already answered these but let me just add that Leatherette is really just vinyl, so definitely a product for vinyl is needed. With Nero if you spray it on and wipe it dry, you will get a matte finish. If you spray it on and let it dry, you will get a glossier/wet finish. You decide what finish you want. Most commonly for the interior, a matte finish is desirable otherwise it looks like Armor All. :D

Purchasing a hundred dollars worth of products is easy when it comes to premium detailing products. Course you won't need to place $100 order EVERYTIME, but the first order can be daunting, but it's worth it! The products are really that good over the local mass market store bought stuff. Even when it comes to big names like Mothers and Meguiar's..Prima is still better!

Here are my 2 cents(in US currency so you get your moneys worth).

Although most high end products cost more to buy, across all brands, for the most part you end up using WAY less of them with each application, and they also tend to be more durable, thus lasting longer on the car. With this in mind, the overall long term cost is not really any more than off the Malwort shelf stuff.

A little hint about Nero, I mix it 1 to 1 with distilled water, it tends to apply more evenly, plus you get the added bonus of it lasting way longer. I have not noticed any difference in durability, when applied either straight up, or mixed down.

Oh I know that the stuff is worth it, not complaining about that (I've bought Zaino stuff before.) I just had questions about the Prima stuff. The Zaino is nice but from what I've been reading about the Prima stuff it works a lot better...

I would not say Prima is "better", but it is a more complete line of products IMO, that works as a system. There is product support from Zaino, but not directly on any MINI site I've seen. I used Zaino for years, and was always happy with the product and results, still have and use some of their high end QD, for those special occasions.
