Depends on if you plan to download entire games from online or need to store large files like movies or extensive MP3 collections for use as a media server, honestly. If you're just planning on using it as a Blu-ray player and gaming console, even the smaller unit can hold about a bazillion save-game files.

I would have to agree with Matt unless you are doing insane amounts of downloading you don't really need a ton of space. Also I have the older style and the hard drive is super easy to upgrade down the road...however I am not sure about the newer ones.

:cornut: Man I'm glad that you guys answered this. My 38yo son still hasn't been able to drag me kicking and screaming into the 21st century yet. I was going to say that PS3 was Public School #3 in NYC(completely ruining our public image:lol
.

I liked my PS3 until the bluray drive died. Replaced it with an Xbox and spend a lot of time on Black Ops and occasionaly Forza. The PS3 is now used for streaming Netflix in the play room. I don't think that you will need too much storage though.

Thanks I just ordered the lower memory one, GT5 and a G27 wheel. Anybody have a spare seat with rails sitting around? I would like to build a nice race rig in my basement.

Vehicross tell me more, there are two within a mile of my house thouse are one of the weirdest cars sold in the past 20 years. Cool, but just really weird.
Miata seat is actually what I hope to find as I have seen their rails attached to plywood to make a rig and it was a pretty clean looking setup. -
