Hate to revive an old thread, but...I went to the dealer to day and asked the SA about the "warm climate option". He could find the option code listed, but he couldn't tell me what it is. Anyone know what the option would consist of for a 2005 R52 S? My car was purchasrd in Fla. (South Motors)

On BMW's the "Hot Climate Option" is just different HVAC system programming to control what ducts are open and closed with the AC on, to allow it to blow more, colder air on the passengers vs. in the footwell. On BMW's this is the standard config for the US. "Hot" means "hotter than Germany". I assume it's similar in some way on the MINI (whether it's driven by programming, or by different HVAC hardware, I don't know).

My MINI has the' warm climate' option as it was bought in Miami, Fl. The option number is 0823 IIRC. I asked for a definition of this option and a SA @ Cincinnati Mini could not find the definition in their system...only the option number (0823 IIRC). So far, I have discovered that there MAYBE is an extra fan in the system. My local MINI dealer doesn't seem to want to do the research to answer the question. Anybody have an answer... I will admit that I suck on searching :)

2nd gen are Coil-Per-Cylinder (CPC). both confusing as $$$$ to me but hey its mini. Why would they list it as COP on a gen 1?

Where did you get your build sheet in English? Mine was half English, and half German. I had to have my friend, Hans, translate mine.
