I have a used 17" DT BBK w/ 1 piece rotors that I'm looking to install. I don't have the instructions. It seems straight forward; however, I've seen one person's photos of the install, and he's done some grinding of the ball joint/carrier. Is this normal and required?

I suggest you call Chad at Detroit Tuned. He is the original vendor of those brakes. He'll know.

send me an email at info @ Detroit Tuned dot com and I'll get you a set of instructions. you will need to grind the ball joint area just a bit to clear the rotor face. All that is needed is a small flat . You also need to have all the washers all in the right place to make sure the caliper in centered.

let me know how i can help.
