If the plugs or wires go bad they will take out the coil pack along with it. Plugs & wires are cheap insurance the way I see it. No need for fancy plugs, wires or an aftermarket coil, oem ones will work fine.

Since you have a CVT I'd have the fluid changes as a preventative measure.

 

Could be any number of things or nothing. Depends on how anal you are about maintance and if you have the money to spend to replace stuff just because. Few things to check are, belt, motor mount, all bushings to name a few. Guessing you have already done brakes and battery. If not somehow that will be soon.

 

Inspection 2 is normally done at around 60,000.....
With so much age and so few miles....hopefully it was done long ago....
My suggestion....
Do an inspection2 with a fluid change for the cooling system and brakes if the last change is unknown....that will literally cover everything, since inspection2 is so complete.

 

Do the Inspection 2 service. And based on age of the car I would also do the plugs and plug wires if they are the originals.

 

Why bother if the originals are in good shape?

 

How does an 8 year old car have such low mileage?

Of course, I ask that when I was just as astonished that Black Top only had 91K miles on it when I bought it. That's under 10K miles a year!

 

Seems that many MINIs live their lives as a third fair weather car. Sure keeps the miles off them. My is my daily driver & gets loads of use. Although the mile accumulation is slowing down since I've retired.
