The original tank turned yellow/brown with age and was known to have an issue with a seam leak... The OEM tank was upgraded and has a greenish color... See if its leaking around the seam where the two halves are heat welded together.

Thanks but that is not it. I have a Just-a-Cooper, Cooper. Non-S. The Cooper S had the thermostat gasket leak which was fixed. The Just-a-Cooper Cooper non-S seems to be leaking from the side of the motor, under/beside the air box. pixs to follow soon.
