Contact Erik @ TC Kline They ran their BS car in the Club races at O'fest at Mid-Ohio a week ago. Call the Columbus Ohio number. I'm sure they'd help you out.

I've run with BMW club, but the rules don't favor the MINI. But you will surprise the BMW guys as they don't expect the MINI to be as fast as it is.

If you need a car I have a track ready car for a great price for sale.

We ran a MINI in BMW CCA a while back. It did ok. We were in DM. If your looking at NASA then the BMW rules will put you in the back of GTS, in PT you have a better shot but still not as good as a car built for NASA. If your local to us (VIR, CMP) I would be interested in talking to you about some opportunities with your race MINI.

Wow, lots to think about. (I'm trying not to think about BThayer23's post...) My original plan was to build the car to BMWCCA GCR for the Sport Class. Since the R53 is classed in J, I figured I start there. I think that means I'd have to just remove my understrut bar, go back to stock brakes, and go back to a stock pulley and coilpack.

Is it allowed to update to JCW even though the car didn't come as a JCW car from the factory if I wanted to run in IS? Can I piece it together and DIY a JCW upgrade? I think the supercharger is the same on the '06 cars, just need to run the right pulley. Reworked head? I'd hate to get dumped into Modified over a 15% reduction pulley.... Am I better just trying to stay in JS and make the move to DM when I'm ready to do the full Monty? Considering I'm just making the move from being a DE instructor to rookie racer I need a good dose of reality here. (Usually washed down with humility...)
