    All the ground wiers are connected.

    Still no spark on the plugs.

    To recap, You have changed the crank position sensor, checked and all grounding straps are clean and tight, all fuses are good, and the only code you have now is the P1617. Is this correct?
    I know we talked about the coil pack, did you already replace it? also is it an OME?

    Hi.

    Coil pack replaced but still no joy...

    Im running out of options... maybe i need to take the car to a repair shop..

    I am not sure what to tell yo to try next. If you take it to a shop let us know what they find. It may help some other Mini owner.

    Hi.

    The car is in the shop since this morning and now the mechanic have called and still no clue of the problem, every time he connects the reader give different error codes.
    I'll keep all of you posted on further developments.

    Just random thoughts but does the coil have voltage input and is the crank sensor actually sending a signal.

    Finally ready after all this time and 600 paid in shop. :eek:
    A problem with the fuse box that have disconnect the fuel pump and the coil.

    The mechanic told me that sometimes due to corrosion the connectors on the bottom of the fuse box stop working properly.
    Lets see for how long for now..
