Hello I plan on soon purchasing a reduction pulley for my 05 MCS.

I was wondering which pulley is better.

the M7 16% reduction or the Alta version 2 15%?

I have the Alta 15% V1 and am in love with it. the extra percentage of the M7 may have an advantage but I think it's marketing one-up-manship more than anything. I chose the Alta V1 because it was initially cheaper than the V2 and when combined with a New Years sale I was able to get it for around $80. Keep your eyes open for the best value.

ok well right now i can get a tension stop, a new belt and the 15% pulley for 104... wile the m7 is like 136.

with the 15% how much hp gain will I ~ get?

also will my whine get louder? I cant hear it over my headers now... which is a big bummer.:frown5:

I have a 17% and a 2% pulley. As far as hp, everyone seems to be different. I would suggest you get a custom tune after.

once I the pulley all figured out, i will then probably try to get a custom tune but on my other thread about ECUs it seems quite hard just to find a tuner.

Real hard......as the ECU is not readily cracked. Needs specific software to access it and the knowhow on it's use.
