Just don't win or place. Or better yet, DNF and nobody will even care.

Doesn't the Vibra-technics RH Upper engine mount pretty much take care of this issue, making this rigid device redundant and eliminating any advantage it might provide?

Plus.....I'm cheap so used stabilizer would be great.....free even better! I saw one on Ebay but some bits were missing. I figure someone must have one rusting in their garage.

So you're just looking for an OEM replacement part? Like #6 here?

What were the missing bits on eBay? The bolts are just a few dollars apiece.-

Enter each part number you want into Google and eBay.
RealOEM.com * BMW R50 Cooper Engine Suspension
Vendors or dealers seem to have all items available on new parts catalogs (or just look on ecstuning). You'll have to shop around for used.-

Do you have stiffer bushings in the bottom engine mount/torque bar? This is where most of the engine stiffness can be increased.

When we ran the Swift no one ever checked the car as we came in around 3rd most times.....since getting the Mini and beating them on the maiden rally they are all over the car.....the price of winning! I want the Mini bullet proof for this season, I can taste the victory! LOL

Mmmmmm the bush was buggered on the fender mount which confirms Dave O's comment that they fall apart. So I've opted for the engine craddle then I'll build my own arm and mount from stuff laying around in the shed.

Those things suck ^^ they come apart over time. I have had two so I know what I am talking about.
Chris, can you post us a picture of the part you need. I am sure one of us can find it for you. -

Yes RKW like that but I have to use the original. like the one here which should be up to the job as I'm using a weedy R50..LOL I have solid race inserts on the other mounts but I still get a little bit of rock and roll.

I think there is a track version of the Vibra-Technic mount that would provide the extra stiffness you may desire.
Dave, I just installed my Vibra-Technics mounts so cannot provide much perspective...but haven't you had a set installed on your Mini for some time? -

Here you go Chris.
Give Colin a call and he can get you one in the race version.

Upper engine mount for early R53 chassis. Similar to the Late style mount but shorter. Made for the early style motor mounts on the R53. Please call or Email if you are unsure what part you need. Made from T6 CNC cut Aluminum with natural rubber Insulator. This mount will provide you the best vibration damping and engine control. -

Thanks Dave but the problem is the rally rules say I have to use original parts. A nice post CNC bar would stand out like a sore thumb. That's why I use a S oil cooler.

Bingo! I need 1,6,8 and all the bolts. On Ebay they just have 1 which bolts to the head and it's in the UK. Still looking.
Thanks for the link. -

Yes, the bottom mount and the gearbox mount have the race type poly inserts but the top right side is the original mount with rubber donnut sat on top . So maybe fitting the S stabilizer bar is a waste of $$$?

Chris:
Sorry, when I provided my Vibra-Technics suggestion I did not realize you were dealing with particular Rally rules limiting options to OEM parts....hopefully you can find the parts you need to stiffen up all of your engine mounts.
