Capture from video... So from this and the location of the swirly camouflage we can surmise that there the is a different rear bumper treatment, a different rear wing and side skirts. If we look at this slightly blown up version below we see there are diffuser looking vents in the bottom of the rear bumper.
Or it could be someone with 1/2 a JCW R56 with a really crappy paint job. And a devilish sense of humor. We shall see. I could do one if it is real.
I really like the new rear wing. It looks a bit more subtle. Less like you need to be wearing a racing suit and helmet to drive to work if you have that on the back.
I'm always amused when people mention rear wings. My current car is a 2002 WRX sedan (205k miles, all mine), complete with Subaru's less-than-subtle wing. Y'all don't get to complain about nice, tidy manufacturer's aero packages.
I doubt they will. The GP is a separate model even more exclusive than the JCW. My guess is the GP "stuff" will be made out of unobtanium and can't see them doing a GP Countryman. Pretty sure it's only going to be a R56 platform.
It's hard to tell in the spy shots if the new GP will have the original GP wing or the Challenge wing or a third exclusive design. Knowing BMW/MINI, they tend to be sneaky with their test mules.
I think unobtanium is the same matter that Oakley 'O-matter' is made of, that's why it costs (us the consumer) so much.
