    Recently introduced.... Damn...

If I end up adding a valve it will be just ahead of the rear mufflers. I want to be able to replace the packing. And it would be much easier if the valve wasn't inside my baffles.

I'm gonna PM you a thought I had later today because I need to make some "drawings". You might find it a useful idea to try.

BTW, the Tapatalk sig had me laughing. Nice. Hopefully you harvest for House Atredies. ;)

Been busy at work, but found a little time this past Saturday and knocked out my "Y" transition. This will be where the main trunk branches off into the two rear muffler / tips.

    Sorry, no.....
I've been focused elsewhere. Just too many paying projects at work.

Re-modeling of one of my rental units is about 99% done. I hope to get back on my personal projects soon, like maybe this coming weekend.

In the mean time feel free to tell us about your pipes.....:D I was kind of curious how you made your's sound like a 747 doing a fly by......

Well.... It's been a while since I've had time to work on my exhaust.

Found a little time today. This will become the rear muffler section. The "Y" transition will lead into two mufflers that will contain baffles and have a side benefit of being easily re-buildable without the need to remove the muffler from the MINI.

    Here are some pic's.....

Well, I was able to spend a few hours down at the shop working on a couple of projects.

I repaired a MOM member's JCW strut bar.

Then I did a little work on my rear exhaust muffler. The housing is complete, however I still need to make the hanger bracket that will attach to the stock rubber isolation supports. I cut the two perforated tubes that will create the separation space for the ceramic insulation. The two discs will be a part of the rear hats that will cap off the rear of the muffler (I will punch a hole in each disc so the exhaust gasses can exit both cylinders)... That's it for today.

I've got sooooo many half started, half finished MINI projects going (that's the same thing, isn't it????)...... I guess I hope so. I've been finding more time to be down at the shop on the weekends with my wife being away at horse shows. The exhaust requires a lot of "under car" measuring of the existing exhaust. Without a lift, I've been dragging my feet a little on that part of the project. This weekend I'm going to see if I can use my forklift to raise the MINI from the side, since I have 8 foot forks. Will see where my jack pads line up with the forks.....:arf:

Already thought about that angle. I probably wont go any farther than just thinking about that idea. A ruptured hydraulic line would probably let the MINI down faster than I could react. MOM's would then start calling me "Shorty".....:D
