Ok, finding the trailing arms was easy. But, getting all the bolts is been somewhat frustrating. Ryephile's post is a godsend (although the part numbers for the trailing arms themselves is no longer correct, but that's not a big deal), and I'm going through it, adding the parts on eminiparts site, and I get to the bushing stopper, and they're listed at 30 bucks apiece, which I find hard to believe given that they're listed at slightly over two bucks on RealOEM, and they don't look like much. That's almost as much as the bracket for essentially a washer. 60 bucks for two tiny washers....ouch.

So, for those of you who have done this conversion, where did you get the hardware?

Yep, those stopper plates are a killer now, no matter where you get them.

MINI has dynamic pricing on parts, they raise prices dramatically when supply shrinks. I've encountered the same thing on other parts, going up huge amounts over time.

But if you get used trailing arms with the pivots attached, you can reuse a lot of that stuff...

Call Colin and he may be able to get them or have Wellzy make them.

Yeah I might do that. Colin is making the bushing for the shocks. I bought the trailing arms used so maybe that stuff is on there. The hardware may end up costing more than the trailing arms...

Turns out the bushing should be on the bracket according to Colin. My blood pressure just went down 10 points.

I got my R56 arms complete with all the bolts. I looked around for used ones and made sure they sent them with all the bolts and brackets etc but saying that they packed the box badly so some bolts fell out resulting in buying them from eminiparts. Yeap they are expensive bolts....I feel your pain.

I had to buy them all. Some of them won't be needed, but since the trailing arms went directly to the shop, I couldn't tell what I did and didn't need. 100 bucks in bolts later, I think I have it sorted out.

Did the part #'s in the Library Article supercede in a manner that you could find them or do I need to research the new ones and edit the article?

Nate--they're all good except the trailing arm numbers and brackets, all the bolts and hardware are ok. The correct numbers are:

    Trailing arm, left: 33-32-6-795-659
    Trailing arm, right: 33-32-6-795-660
    Bracket, trailing arm left: 33-30-6-799-089
    Bracket, trailing arm right: 33-30-6-799-090

I figured since I am replacing the original arms on my 2002 - I am buying new bolts, bushing, stopper etc. I bit the bullet to the tune of a little over $450, the arms however I didn't buy new. Not bad plus I have piece of mind.

    Uh, ok.
Save money on arms, dump money on bolts. Makes sense.

Well, I did the same thing, bolts fail, especially when you reuse them, I'd rather go new on those, a trailing arm is a solid chunk of metal and shouldn't fail new or used. Maybe it's overkill but so be it.

Ah...Well I used who you recommended for mine, I don't see how you could them that much cheaper, price was fair. Took them forever to ship, due to a mistake, but the price was good, and they were pretty cool about it, I'd use them again.

I still buy stuff from you. Waiting for some of the stuff we talked about @ MOTD to come out so I can spend more $$ with you.
