    My guess this is the safety feature similar to windows the keeps it from closing on you fingers. In my case (03 BMW) it was the little flap at the front of the sunroof. It was “sticking”. I basically cleaned out where the little plastic slide is and made sure it was smooth and actuated easily.. that solves it. I’ll try and look in the Bentley manual (later today) I just got and see if it has anything on sunroof service.

    This ^^^^ I had this problem also as it is common now with most cars. It’s an auto safety feature to stop kids from getting heads chopped off. Do as Sully said and that should fix it.

    @Dave.0 - quick question is the ^^^^ and old short code to call a smilie or something like that? I’m trying to pull together a list of old BB codes so I can add them so the smilies etc from the pre-migration site show back up.
