    The easier way is to get a $5 power tab and just tap it into the fuse box. No messing the the factory wires then.

    I figured it out, there is a purple with blue stripe wire on the left harness. I soldered hot to purple ground to a hole in metal brace with a screw. Works fine.

    Glad I saw this. I've been wanting to hardwire mine for awhile but haven't got around to it.
